If I can’t get a full on return of Gen 13, I’ll take a team with Fairchild in the lead.

  2. The RAVAGERS really? The RAVAGERS?! LMFAO!!! Loved Gen 13… But I might pick it up. But I don’t see me liking this at all. Looks like 90’s X-Factor and sounds like a bad Avengers spin off.

  3. Hopefully this is better than Teen Titans….

  4. I have a really good feeling about this!

  5. Read the preview on CBR, will not be getting. Wow bad.

  6. Yeah, I dunno… Not feeling a few of the team books, and I get the impression this will just be more of the same.

  7. I also wish DC would lay off the unnecessary text on almost every one of their covers. I find it distracting and throwback-y (not in a good way).

  8. I think there’s a 10% this might be the DC version of Runaways. That’s why I’m pulling it. I know I will probably be disappointed.

  9. I have a feeling a lot of people on here are dismissing this book with their noses up in the air – I just want it to be fun.

  10. That cover… just…just so bad. Everything about it. I’m sorry, but look at Fairchild’s arm. Anatomy, man…
(Who knows, it could be a really fun story though!)

  11. People are really saying. negative things about this book. I remember when Avengers Academy came out. Everyone thought it would suck. And it turned out to be awsome! I really wish people would give this series a chance.

  12. My friend got a copy and let me read through it. Was not for me. Made me want to go back and read some good Gen 13 tho.

    • That’s what the DCU needs: A good Gen 13 book. But with the saturation of teen titles right now, it doesn’t look like that will happen any time soon.

Come on, DC! Bring in some GOOD Wildstorm titles: Majestic (by Joe Casey), Gen 13, Wildcats!

  13. Yeah, this felt really average to me. Don’t get me wrong, the art is good in that standard DC sort of way. I get the feeling it could be better after an arc or two. This definitely followed DC’s cookie-cutter team book opening splash page i.e. the splash page where every character has to have a line of dialogue while hovering in the air. I get why it’s done, but damn, it’s become such a cliche. I’m new to the larger DC Universe and I’m excited about it, so I really want their books to succeed.

  14. was a good first issue, a few problems like Beast boy’s head looking like like hes talking out the ass of his polar bear look and then calling Terra Tara. Towards the end of the issue when the ravagers pop out of the cargo ship there is a bubble of dialouge that mentions windshear tearing up the ship but they fail in the beginning to explain the asian guy who flew away was windshear. so besides characters talking literally out of the asses due to art and a couple lines of dialouge not making sense it was a good issue with teens getting killed. now that i think of it the end of the book when teens get slaughtered it was badass.

    • As far as the Windshear comment, they did say thanks to their all Windshear, so wasn’t that off putting, and is Terra’s real name maybe Tara? I’m not sure

  15. Is Beast Boy red?

    • Indeed. In interviews, they mentioned it was to connect Beast Boy into the Red (which has been a large part of Animal Man, if you haven’t been reading it).

Really enjoyed it. I gave it a 4. One thing though what happened to Fairchild’s outfit on the cover I like cleavage as much as the next guy but the outfit she actually wears is nothing like that. Just seems a bit odd.

  17. The only problem I had with this issue, which I thought was over all entertaining, was the cover, if you’re going to name tag everyone at least have everyone’s names correct, they have Lightning and Thunder reversed
