  1. Woo hoo! I kind of like how this book sneaks up on me and I hope that continues. It’s a fun change of pace from the three-month cycle of the direct market. I knew a new issue must be coming out soon, but my attempts to find an official release date failed. And then David Aja retweets a link this morning, and here we are!

    • Yeah, I also love how the book just sneaks up on me. I came into the university early this morning to finish a final project and I was rewarded with a new issue of The Private Eye when I was done. How awesome is that? (BTW, this book looks absolutely beautiful on my school’s iMacs. Makes me want one just for this book alone)

@KenOchalek they have an RSS feed if you are interested: http://feeds.feedburner.com/panelsyndicate?format=xml

@LeviHunt15 i just had a similar experience. I read #1 on my iPad2 (i.e. non-retina) and I wasn’t thrilled by the reading experience. Today during lunch break I read #2 on my office’s 22″ widescreen monitor and… wow!

Thanks for the tip with the feed!

I read it on my 24” monitor, and it really is stunning!

The other comics will have a hard time to beat that this week!

Did any of you guys understand what happened when the P.I. removed the black stuff from his eyes? From the panel sequence and him saying “look at me” made it feel as if it was important.

    • I saw it as revealing your true identity is an indication of trust, not hiding behind a secret identity and therefore, indicating there is no secret and you are telling the truth.

    • Avatar photo ochsavidare (@ochsavidare) says:

I guess that kind of make sense.
I never saw the black stuff over his eyes as hiding his identity. I mean it didn’t really cover anything, but I guess its just a case of fiction logic, cover your eyes and noone recognises you.

  3. ISSUE #3 IS NOW AVAILABLE!!!! GO DOWNLOAD IT NOW!
(Also, if you’re financially able, throw some Cheddar their way)
