  1. I’m not sure which one becomes a New Avenger.

But I’m pretty which ones become Thunderbolts.

  2. I’m so glad Victoria hands a good guy. I’ve really grown to love her. Also, the Docter Strange magic tricks still get me every time.

  3. Excited for this.

Been enjoying the arc though haven’t read the sister title.

  4. my last fix of dark avengers before the thunderbolts rebranding. hope it stays at 3 bucks, though.

    • You and me both, my friend.

    • I actually think were at a point where the quality of comics is so great, that the writers, artists, inkers, they all deserve that extra buck.

    • funny, i think me and my family deserve that extra buck a pop for being such great and loyal custumers for over 25 years.

    • @sitara119: 8)

      @T.G.Rogers:

Part of the appeal of some of these titles is the price (break).

I’d like to see them scale back most, if not all Marvel titles to $2.99.

Or at least offer a subscription discount on the most expensive ones.

Many of them are good, few of them are repeatedly four dollars a piece great.

    • i agree, playa.
it stands to reason, at least to me, that multi-billion dollar companys like DISNEY and time warner can show a lil’ respect to it’s loyal fanbase and give us a break. especially in this economy. i used to buy a lot more marvel books until i had a family and hard times struck. don’t get me wrong, i’m not one paycheck from being on the street, but my monopoly money is much stricter these days and i get a lot more books shoping at dc and dark horse.
marvel seems content with sticking that middle finger first in my ass, then waving it in my face.
that’s why i’m down to only a handful of marvel titles and most of them are the second tier 2.99 books like DD and punisher.

    • If money is that tight, perhaps you shouldn’t buy comics at all or at least buy them in a cheaper better quality format like hardcovers.

      No sympathy.

And if I don’t have any sympathy for you, I don’t see why capitalists would have any for you.

Capitalism thrives off such bad spending choices.

They can fuck you and you still support their company. Don’t think that any other company wouldn’t do what Marvel does if they had the chance. If you think that Warner Bros has more morals than Disney, that is just stupid.

      Please stop price bitching/company bitching.

    • ScorpionMasada: You seem angry.

If comments make you upset, perhaps you shouldn’t read comments.

As I said above, I’ll make my own budgetary decisions, thank you.

I buy plenty of Marvel. Mostly Marvel. Practically all Marvel.

They have some titles that are worth the higher price point and some that are not.

I subscribe to about a dozen titles, which saves me a ton of money.

      It’s practically a two-for-one sale.

That said, the appeal of a third-tier title like Thunderbolts is that it’s not overpriced.

It’s a fun read at three bucks, and too darn expensive at four bucks.

      That’s what’s known as a price-point.

      Every discussion is not bitching.

I will decide is Marvel is “fucking” me. back up the rhetoric train about half a mile.

I don’t need anybody’s sympathy. I’m fine setting my own budget, thanks.

      🙂

    • i don’t want your sympathy and you can take your begging me to stop about “price/company bitching” and put it the same place marvel puts that middle finger before waving it in your face. 🙂

    • I’m not the one asking for mercy from a megacorporation when mercy lies in your own poor choices.

    • i said it stands to reason that they can show a lil’ respect to it’s fanbase. i never “asked for mercy” and i haven’t made any poor choices.
if you came to these arrogant and presumptuous judgements from reading my posts, perhaps you should work on your reading comprehension and your pretentious attitude toward those who post things that upset your delicate sensibilities.
simply take note of my username and feel free never to read my posts again and while you’re at it, keep your contemptuous suggestions to yourself.
they are neither wanted or needed.

    • They prey on your weaknesses: “that multi-billion dollar companys like DISNEY and time warner can show a lil’ respect to it’s loyal fanbase and GIVE US A BREAK. especially in this economy. i used to buy a lot more marvel books until i had a family and hard times struck.”

I’m trying to help you. Only you can give yourself the break.

You and your family should be thanking me for holding a mirror up.

I know it is painful. You don’t need to lash out at me.

    • deluded and self righteous. pathetic, really.
you and your family should thank me for pointing that out to you.
go to your library and go to the self help section and help yourself.
i know it’s painful. but you can do it.

    • Sorry I upset you.

Remember this exchange next time you price bitch and maybe I won’t have to read more about your poor life choices.

      Maybe, but unlikely.

    • likewise.

remember to work on your reading comprehension before checking out those self help books.

  5. ……..
    ……..
    ……..
    So how about that H.A.M.M.E.R.?
You guys think it’ll still be around if Normans taken down?
P.S. I haven’t read Avengers 24 yet, if you have, please don’t spoil it.

    • i hope it’ll still be around. i don’t think norman will go back to jail, so hammer will prolly be another aim or hydra if we’re lucky. i would like to see norman embrace the goblin again and try to take over the world with a supervillain-team called hammer. the new hammer. the business of world domination for tyrannical purposes.

  6. Tthat’s the most man ass I’ve seen on a cover in recent memory. Daredevil can pull it off I’m just saying.

  7. “Man ass” is hysterical.

Anyway, yeah, I get about 8 or 9 Marvel titles by subscription, all of which are 3.99. Some are woth 3.99, some aren’t. Its just a better value overall. I get a 25% discount at my LCS, which makes the 3.99 titles 3.00, but with the subscription it is 1.83 per issue.

    • I get the same discount at my LCS.

Which is why I also get quite a few titles by subscription.

Depending on cover price, it’s like 45 to 60% off.

      That’s a really great deal.

    • i like to support the LCS, but subscription is definitely the way to go.

i fear comics shops are almost done for.

  8. did you see the size of that phone skaar had. jesus. looked like an i-pad. or a cell phone from the 80’s. ha.
dark spiderman kinda looks like mumm-ra from the waste up when he reverts back to his original form.
    fun read.

  9. I laughed when I saw Skaar pull that phone out, esp with the ‘beep boop’ sfx of the buttons. Can you imagine having to text with those tree trunk fingers??

  10. Decent issue.

I have not followed Skaar a lot. Is there some reason in particular Captain America gave him a direct number and why Skaar is so loyal to Cap?

    • it stands to reason in my mind that skaar has a lot of both good and anger in his heart of gold. he wants to be a hero despite his furious rage, which he feels guilty about. perhaps he was given a number by cap or a fellow hero in case he felt he had something to contribute.
i don’t have a lot of knowledge of the marvel u.
this is based of my intuintion.
the only other marvel books i read other than this is the punisher, DD, ultimate spider-man and JIM. so i really have no frame of reference. if i’m wrong, i welcome any knowledge or insight that i have overlooked or am ignorant of.
it’s a fine question. i curious if this is self-contained enough for me to follow without needing outside help.

    • What you say makes sense, Sitara. I know about as much as you do, it seems. 🙂
