THE LONE RANGER #1

It’s been two months since Lone Ranger and Tonto hit the trails of the old west, looking for injustice. They’ve found plenty. Now, they come across settlers who have been victimized in a way that stirs memories in John Reid. Loss, vengeance, and redemption as pioneer idealism meets the reality of hard life on the prairie.

A stand-alone tale that ties into an epic six part story that will test the mettle of the west’s most legendary heroes.

  1. Am psyched for the return of this book. The last run was decompressed as all hell, but it was very good. Who’s cooler than Tonto? No one, that’s who.

  2. Pretty good issue, althought maybe just a touch too classic. Still, the opening shot of the Lone Ranger was fantastic, and it looks like they’re shifting his look to be a little older and more classically heroic (think more Bruce Wayne, less Dick Grayson).

    • @Urthona – I bought this solely for Francavilla’s cover, but came away really liking the story. I agree that it was a more classic approach on the Lone Ranger and Tonto. Even the layouts and art had a traditional comic feel.

Nice, ‘one & done’ first story.

  3. Cool! Between you and me, we’re already almost 10% of the IFanboy pulls!
