I really want to love this new take on the Firestorm concept, but the dialog keeps this book from bringing anything spectacular to the story. The art on the other hand is fantastic. I loved Yildiray’s work on the Legion of Super-Heroes and here it’s almost like he’s painting watercolor on some of the pages.
I agree completely and I reall miss just good ol’ fashion Ronnie and Stein..

I love this book. It’s the most over looked book of the 52. I agree with the general reviews of most of the 52, but this one I really, really don’t get the hate. The story has developed and moved at an extremly fast pace over the past four issues and I’m really excitied about the idea of firestorms as WMDs throughout the world. If a lot of people hated it, I hope they at least try to jump back on when the new writer joins on 7.
SmoManCometh- I really wish this comic would work I am a huge Firestorm fan however; this has really done nothing for me and i will try again with issue #7 since I am a Firestorm fan and have been since he first arrived on the scene so many years ago. I really wish we could just get back to Ronnie and Prof. Stein and I would be on board if they just flew around in every issue. I just think the original Firestorm was a great character and just needed a new writer and artist to move him into the century, not change him to an elemental, ane then split up Ronnie and Stein and then stab him and then relaunch with a whole new Firestorm. Anyway Firestorm and Captain Atom will always be remembered to me the way they were back in the day, AWESOME! I miss them so much and wish DC would never have done this to them oh… and I alomost forgot the other Starman who came out about this time he was also a fine character that was chopped up and lost, and of course the Blue Beetle Ted Kord that was another BS move!!
