  1. Well, i’m going into hiding to avoid spoiler until wednesday. This is gonna be sweet.

    • I have to wait until I get home for christmas break! Sucks going to school in a small town. But I will have an amazing stack of comics to read when I get home!

    • I’m in the same boat. I get monthly shipment of comics. So I will be getting #699, #699.1 and #700 all in one shipment. Going to have to majorly avoid spoilers.

  2. Finally, excited about Spiderman again. Can’t wait to see where the story goes. Twist at the end of the last issue really paid off.

  3. After #698’s big twist I can’t wait to see what Slott has in store for us. And I’m so glad Ramos is back on art, he’s got to be one of my favourite Spidey artists ever, I just love that style.

  4. This is a run that I’ve hopped on and off of, but when it’s good, it’s spectacular. Slott has an excellent sense of what makes Spider-Man a great hero, and especially of what makes Peter Parker a fantastic character.

    Can’t wait for this issue.

  5. Can’t wait!

  6. My subscription ends with #700 or so.

Which means I still need to get ASM #699.1 & Avenging 15.1 at retail, iirc.

  7. CAN’T WAIT TO READ THIS!!!!! NEED IT NOW!!!!

  8. This was very good, I thought it was cool to see how Slott has been planning this for a while and how much of his run actually contibuted to this story, can’t wait for #700 in a few weeks!

  9. This story arc has been pretty enjoyable. I haven’t been reading ASM as religiously as others, so i missed out on some of the continuity connections, but i think its cool that he’s been building to this for a while. Really interested in where this is going and how its gonna work out.

Seeing PP work through it in this issue was pretty interesting. I was glued to the pages!

  10. This was incredible. I’ve been reading spidey comics since i was old enough to read and while Ends of the Earth didn’t really do it for me, knowing that it led to this, well dammit you got me. amazing shit

  11. Maybe its just me but this is starting to feel like just another arc.
I had my shit in a knot when slott said peter wont be spiderman anymore but I have a feeling this will only be for these last couple issues and a couple of superior until everything is back to normal.
I actually kinda feel a bit jipped.

  12. I read ASM randomly her and there. Picked up 698 on a whim and read it at the bookstore tonight. The cover enticed me. They didn’t have 699 in stock (bookstore) and the comic shop was closed but as soon as I got home I downloaded it. While not as good as the last issue, it still makes me want to read Slott’s full run.

  13. The Amazing Spiderman has regained its greatness. Excellent story, logical, long term planning pays off. POTW.

  14. This was really good. Crazy how Doc Ock pulled off his plan. Let’s see if Peter can reverse it. (Yes, I’m just reading this now. Wasn’t easy but I have avoided all spoilers.) 😉
