   I thought that Ned Leeds was the original Hobgoblin, does Roderick Kingsley pre-date him?

     Kingsley was the original, Ned Leeds was just set up to look to be the Hobgoblin. It was a big thing for a long time in the early 80’s, with lots of misdirection going on. If you can find the “Origin of the Hobgoblin” trade, there’s a timeline in the back that shows how Kingsley set everything up.

   This was really good. Much better than the Alpha storyline. Still amazed they are giving Alpha a limited series.
