  1. HOBGOBLIN!!!!!

  2. Very excited for this story, it sounds like it should be pretty good and best of all we get the return of the real Hobgoblin!!

  3. Dan Slott has let it be known that #698 is going to be a real barnburner and this should be the start of that arc so there’s no way I’m missing this!

  4. I hope that this book starts to pick up steam. After Spider-Island, I feel like the books has been mediocre. Hopefully, things change soon, otherwise, I’ll be done with Spidey after #700.

  5. Anyone know if Slott and Ramos will be moving over to the Marvel Now spiderman?

    • All indications are that Slott will still be writing whatever the main Spider-man book is, but nothing official.

    • I think Stegman will probably be the artist on the Marvel now spider-man book, seeing as both of their annoucements are on the same day next week.

    • I really hope it is Stegman on the book, I was sad when he left Scarlet Spider but if it means he ends up on Spider-man then it willbe worth it!

  6. Wow at that double page spread. Didn’t expect glimpses at the future of marvel now.

  7. Well, this issue was much better than the previous issues. But…does anybody else feel like the content within the book doesn’t justify the $3.99 price tag.

    • I actually think this is one of the few Marvel books that can be justified at $3.99. Slott always crams in a TON of dialogue. An issue of ASM can easily take me a half hour to read through, while something like Uncanny X-Men can be over in under 10 minutes.

    • I typically don’t have an issue with the price when it comes to ASM. However, and I don’t know if it’s just me, but I felt as if the print quality was very poor with this latest issue. Almost as if I was looking at a photo copy. The art just didn’t seem crisp.

  8. Apparently this is the first issue of Spidey I should have bought in twenty years, because it appears Camuncoli can actually draw, as opposed to the issue 693 I picked up with Ramos crapping all over the paper and pretending to call it art.

    • Camuncoli doesn’t get enough love. He’s not one of those artists that blows your ass away or anything but he is always solid, can keep a monthly schedule, and his Hellblazer work is top notch.

  9. This issue was a breath of fresh air since that whole Alpha story arc. That got old quick.
