     I love Spider-Man. I love Dan Slott. I really do not like Ramos’s art. Ah well, 2 out of three ain’t bad.

     If he’s not gone after this issue then I’m really going to be worried the rumors about him taking over as Spider-man after #700 are true.

     I’m not buying it but I’ve read it on several websites…whatever Slott is doing with #700 though he claims is controversial enough that he might have to go into hiding…..

     I would drop it if Alpha takes over as the main character. I do have a perfect name for the letters page though, ‘Alpha Bits’. LOL

     I wouldn’t put it passed Slott to fuck up this book anymore than he already has, but there needs to be at least one Peter Parker as Spider-Man. I think it really wouldn’t make any sense to replace both Spider-Men in little over a year. As much as I love Miles Morales, 616 Spidey needs to stay Peter Parker.

     ….can’t believe I just used 616 in a forum post.

   Just read a very sound prediction of what might be coming with 698-700. Since #700 will be the last issue before renumbering begins… it might just be the perfect jumping OFF point for me.

     I read that too and I don’t know what to make of it. If that happens I just might take a break from Amazing for the first time since i came back to comics. I just don’t know about that. I don’t particularly enjoy the way Slott has been writing Doc Ock, even if I am enjoying his overall work on Peter and the rest of the cast. I don’t know, Ock has never been a favorite of mine. I miss Norman.

   Further speculation of the change to alpha would be in the title. From Amazing Spiderman (AS) to Superior Alpha (SA). And as Slott said, keep reading, so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

   I thought this was a somewhat disappointing ending to the Alpha arc. It seemed to get wrapped really quickly; one minute he’s there with powers then in a couple of panels Spidey has zapped all his powers away from him just like that.
   It just felt a bit rushed. Great art from Ramos though, wish he could do ASM all the time.
