TEEN TITANS #5

In their first battle as a team, The Teen Titans square off against N.O.W.H.E.R.E.’s most powerful weapon… The Superboy!

But can the cunning of Red Robin, the speed of Kid Flash and the psionic might of Bunker stop a threat that has already taken out the powerhouse known as Wonder Girl?

The fight rages from a battle cruiser docked in the Hudson River to the Central Park Zoo, but as a world stands up and takes notice, there is a very real possibility the Teen Titans might not survive their high profile debut!

  1. With Superboy on the wrong side, I imagine it’ll take some words by Red Robin to convert him to their side. We know he’ll join the team and I imagine Tim’s the one to do it. They’ll fight. They’ll get to some sort of stand still. Some talking will happen. Then, a last page group pose.

  2. The last issue has won me over on this title.

  3. Guys, why is nobody asking if that pre-DCnU Red Robin costume Kid Flash is wearing in this issue is actually an artifact of the previous world/dimension/whatever? This is where they start to undo everything

    • They showed Robin in his old outfit in the first issue. It was in a framed picture of him and Batman. What’s so weird about vigilantes upgrading or changing their costume?

  4. This is a very good title and I think it is a little underated. The artwork is good and I like this N.O.W.H.E.R.E. group, kind of a cult feeling…? Brother Blood feel…? Just a different twist on it I guess and it really seems to work out well here.
edward- Old friend it seems we have kinda of the same feeling however; I think when you see Wally return thats when things will start to undo…….

  5. I dropped this at #1, is it really worth getting again? I mean my wife will kill me LOL but the art in #5 preview is breathtaking!

    • If you like Brett Booth, then yes it’s still looking very good. A lot of people were bashing his art early on as being too 90’s, but I think his work has some of the most energy in all of comics right now and is a perfect fit for this book. Really enjoying this title.

  6. Artwork was outstanding and I really love the action in this title.

  7. One thing I didn’t like this issue was during the fight all the characters being like “okay this is my power, and I can do this with it” sticking with the book thou I like it

  8. I like this book, I like the characters and I am very happy with Brett Booth’s artwork. I don’t really like how Superboy talks differently in this than he does in his own title. Lacks consistency.

  9. what’s goin on with this “danny the street” character? Is he the next teen titan or what??

  10. I was growing weary during the first three issues which bugged me because this is the only place Tim Drake shows up now (doesn’t even seem to be part of the Bat family anymore) and I’d hate to drop it. However, things have finally picked up in these last two issues and I hope it stays this way. Good luck to the Teen Titans team, and DC Comics better start looking at a Tim Drake solo book again if for no other reason than to make me happy 😉
