I don’t understand Skitter. Good thing this book is coming out.
This book makes me a little sad.
Definitely a book that I enjoy for the characters more than the creators, but somehow I’m cool with that.
Glad Tim wasn’t a Robin. Nice to give him a more distinctive role in the mythos.
They should have changed the solicit text. Apparently, Tim was NEVER Robin.
There is all this talk of Tim never having been a Robin, but in TT#1 they show him as Robin, and in Batman #1 he is listed as a former Robin when Bruce scans him. How is it that DC was all concerned about making sense of things, and they are already botching this?
Rumor has it that TPTB actually changed the text in TT #1 for the trade collection. I *heard* that the text reads “Batman’s boy wonder” instead of “Robin, the Boy Wonder.” I don’t know why it bothers me, but it does.
I think I read somewhere that he was never a Robin, he was always Red Robin.
Here is a preview…..

DC really dropped the ball on Tim Drake’s character and as far as I’m concerned the entire Teen Titans universe. I really don’t look for this sorry excuse for a Titans book to be around for the long haul.
I gave up on this book a while ago. They need to give this book to a different creative team because its been pretty crappy since the beginning. Something seems off about a 50 year old writer, whose highlights were in the 90’s, writing a current Teen Titans book. But DC pretty much screwed up the whole young justice line anyway so….
I feel like the are is amazing but yeah you guys are right the writing is lacking in what could be such a spectacular title.
I am not enjoying it at all!
Sorry, but I want Wally, Dick, Donna and Garth.
As an old school Tim Drake fan, I liked this a lot. He’s not Old 52 Tim Drake, and that’s the point, but he is where it counts, and Lobdell makes that abundantly clear.
Best issue of the series yet.
I agree, loved this issue.
There was nothing wrong with Tim’s origin. A freaking gymnast!?!? Way to screw up another character DC. If I want to read a good Titans story I’ll pull out the Perez Wolfman or Geoff Johns issues.
Loved this issue, while they changed some things that made Tim unique, they made new things that still made him unique, really love the way Tim is going!
Don’t get all the hate though, one minute I see people crying for change and for DC to have “an original idea” then once they do anything new or different, there are cries because it’s not the same. So confusing, anyways, that has nothing to do with the issue, which was amazing, did I say that already?
I really loved this issue. It was great to see a Tim solo issue. Made me miss the old Red Robin series. 🙁
