  1. The penultimate.

  2. Well Nick Spencer and DC has said that they will start a new series a couple of months after the big reboot like with Batman INc.

  3. I hope so. It just seems like with Spencer fully embedded at Marvel and the whole reboot, it would make sense for DC to let what is not a high selling mag go. Then again, relaunching all your titles simultaneously seems kinda nuts, so what do I know?

  4. Well, I for one am glad this is one of the titles DC will continue to publish. I’m also hopeful they will continue to use Bronze Age (and hopefully Silver Age) artists for the flashback sequences. This book is witty and smart with a long view to telling a more complex story. I have a fondness for this book that stretches back to when it was published by Tower Comics.

Plus I want to see them interface with Checkmate, S.H.A.D.E., and Amanda Waller. The only question I have is will the Red Circle characters (the Shield, in particular) survive the relaunch.

  5. Happy to have this volume wrapping up, because of budgetary restrictions, and looking forward to seeing it again in the fall. I heard that they will be skipping September, but that they plan to continue it. I hope so.

@CaeuZokul: DiDio recently said that DC no longer has the option of publishing the Red Circle characters. Too bad, but maybe MLJ will finally do something with them. Heck, they’re having Archie meet KISS, so maybe they’re trying to get just slightly edgy enough to publish their own superhero line.
