I was very surprised how much i liked issue #0, i’ll give this a go.
the first issue was a pleasant surprise, hoping to still enjoy it but am still not pleased with the 3.99 price on this book im not sure why this title would warrant it.
Well, it does have both the Amethyst story plus the excellent Beowulf backup.
It’s 3.99 because it has a backup story. All the DC books with backup stories are 3.99. Whether we would be better off with 2.99 books and no back-up stories is up to you.
no i mean i know why its 3.99 because of the backup i just didnt think this title needed a backup really and seemed like it would have been smarter since this isnt a more popular character to keep it at the 2.99 price point.
I like this too. The fact that she was a little goth/punk/emo in the zero ish plays nicely in contrast to the super blonde princess she’s turned into. Really entertained.
First issue was terrible. No one gets made fun of for having pink hair.
I thought it was a decent first issue — worthy of another try.
Liked the #0, I’m onboard.
And how cool is the Beowulf backup?
Very cool.
I really, really enjoyed this! The main story having strong female characters kicking ass in a kingdom of swords and sorcery–it’s refreshing to see DC pumping out something like this. So fun!
The Amethyst story really needs an inker in my opinion.
