Me too. This reads great in trades. Sad the ride is almost over, but am also glad it doesn’t go on forever. Besides, who’s to say if in the future a volume II might continue the journey. I really find Lemire the most “human” of the comic creators I enjoy.
I just re-read Volume IV last night in preparation for reading Vol V over the weekend…it was SO FREAKIN’ GOOD! I’m going to have a great weekend hunkering down with this trade…can’t wait!!

I hated the first half with that artist who wishes he was Colan or Lemire but isn’t. Lemire’s fault too, really wordy. But of course the 2nd half was awesome once it returned to all-Lemire.
