  1. they lower the price on this?

7 damn good issues here… Probably the best start in the new 52, one of their best titles still for sure.

    • They might have, I seem to recall it originally soliciting issues 1-8, so it’s possible they took away an issue and dropped the price. Either that or it’s a typo on either part.

    • It’s not a typo, the trade collects #1-7 and it’s $14.99.

I am assuming CGPO is referring to DC making the typo or taking an issue off. The above link is what I first saw too. It lists issues 1-8 for $16.99 for Swamp Thing. Issue 7 was a good one to stop on for the first trade though.

    • Yeah, that’s what I meant. It definitely read like a good ending point. I picked up the first few issues and thought they were good, but nothing was grabbing me, however after reading them like this, I’m definitely on board.

    • Swamp Thing has always been one of my favorite comics. I love and own the entire 2nd volume. There are some confusing elements to this story but for the most part it has been fun. Even though they don’t have a consistent artist, the art has always been good. I really enjoyed the scattered nods to past editors, writers and artists of Swamp Thing throughout the first few issues. WeinDigger on the bulldozer, Acala on the Shotgun, Bissette on the motorcyle, Yeates on the tag on Abby’s Jeans, Pasko Diner, Berger Keys and Totleben Inn… just to name a few off the top of my head. I don’t know, it was just appreciated by the hardcore Swamp Thing fan and geek in me.

  2. The horror that is Sethe! “Sethe”? Really? All time worst name for a scary villain. This is nowhere near as good as Alan Moore’s run, but it tries. I’ll stick with it. Hey Scott, if you want to up your game try some subtle social commentary in the stories.
