SUPERMAN BATMAN ANNUAL #4

Expanding on the hit TV show Batman Beyond, this year’s annual travels to the not-so-distant future where an aged Bruce Wayne oversees a new Batman, and the fate of a certain Man of Steel is very much in question. Metropolis is becoming crime-free, as someone is ridding the city of its criminal element permanently. Now, Terry McGinnis must uncover what’s happening in Superman’s home and face a very old and vindictive nemesis!

And don’t miss the BATMAN BEYOND 6-issue miniseries kicking off this month!

  3. @glunders $5 for 56 pages ain’t bad but who knows how many will be adverts 🙁

  4. I am really looking forward to the mini-series, I was going to pick up this annual as well, but $5…I’ll have a flick through and see if the art is any good.

I do love Batman of the Future though. Can’t wait for the mini.

  5. Yup. I’ll pay 5 bucks for this.

  6. I was planning on getting the trade for Batman Beyond after I checked the reviews because the writter is the same who wrote the not so great BatGirl mini series, I would hate to pay 5 dollars for this and have it part of the collection. Any one know if this will be part of that collection…

  7. YES! I love Batman Beyond.

  8. I’ll buy it.  The first rule of Marketing is if you want to see something survive on the shelf, you’ve gotta buy it.  Even if I read it once, it’ll be worth it to see this character live on at DC.

  9. @Stuclach: …. good one

  10. so is batman beyond officially one of the 52 universes or is this just a fun story? I loved the cartoon.

  11. Please tell me the inside art is nothing like the cover

  12. @Hexsas: Batman Beyond is one of the 52 universes. I don’t know where the proof lies but I’m positive I saw it mentioned somewhere back when they were acknowledging the multiverse. I’m still a little fuzzy on the current state of the multiverse myself. I think they’re waiting on Morrison’s Multiversity to nail down the rules and explore the different universes more fully.

  13. I’m looking forward to this.

  14. Before reading this, I’m so going to play the theme to the show. One of my favorite opening sequences.

  15. @edward – Thank you, sir.  Love the new avatar.

  16. This features some very nice artwork and an average story. 4 out of 5.

  17. Damn I really wanted to read this but my LCS failed me again. Boo-urns!!! Maybe next time?
