As a fan of the magic corner of the DCU, I really liked the first issue. It’s also got a great Elseworlds vibe to it. Track down the last ish and pick this up if that’s your thang!
Yes, Shadowpact is da sh$t, and Chrisscross ain’t so bad either.
Maaaan, I wish Travel Foreman would draw interiors. Or release the zany scifi epic he’s been working on for years.
lots of fun. Never been one for dark magic centered comics, but i’m really enjoying it.
Getting ready to drop this title especially after this issue. They just lost me with more of the elseworld crap and magic. Just saying not good!!

Liking this, but I don’t think Dr. Occult was voiced right.
They were losing me with the magic stuff, but the twist with Superman gaining magic powers is a great concept since that’s always been his weakness. And bringing a dragon into the Batman/Superman DC universe and making it plausible via magic is great storytelling. They have my imagination spinning with this one.
The occult stuff turns me off, but the magic effects of an alternate future on Batman and Superman has me hooked. Can’t wait ’til the next issue.
