SUPERIOR #2 (OF 6)

Who is – what is – SUPERIOR? And what the hell is he doing breaking into Jonah’s room in the middle of the night? Superior’s just a guy from comics and movies, anyway, so what did this tights-wearing maniac done to Ollie, Jonah’s wheelchair-bound best friend? But as Superior shows off his powers, Jonah learns that things aren’t all they seem.

MARK MILLAR (KICK-ASS, NEMESIS, OLD MAN LOGAN) and his ULTIMATE AVENGERS 2 collaborator LEINIL FRANCIS YU (SECRET INVASION, NEW AVENGERS, ULTIMATE WOLVERINE VS. HULK) continue to bring us a new age of superhero comics!

  1. i really wish the covers for this didn’t have the tongue and cheek vibe that kick-ass had. i don’t think it fits the story millar is trying to tell here

  2. Is this early? Didn’t issue one JUST come out two or three months ago? (hint: sarcasm)

  3. Great first issue, I love the modern-day Power Of Shazam vibe this has. Not to mention that I’m loving Yu’s art, who probably is in the top 3 artists working today.

  4. @edward – This will be the first time you’re wrong. 😉

  5. @mikeandzod21

The last issue actually came out last month. Which would make this right on time. I have (not entirely intentionally) avoided Millar’s work since The Ultimates, but his vow to see that this one gets out on time along with an interesting premise made me check it out. First issue was promising, this one will be the make or break for me.

  6. Bought this a week late off of good word of mouth. Loved the first issue and am excited for this as well although yu’s pencils don’t thrill me.

  7. @roivampire: then you should probably stop reading Millar.

  8. The first issue was ok and I’ll have to see where #2 goes. Lienel Yu normally blows me away but I’m not loving his art this time. Not sure why. Miller’s story seems pretty good but it was a little too fast of a read for me.

  9. This book does not seem late too me, glad to see it out.

  10. @edward its the artist for secrect invaison mini they should come out every month i like this better than scarlet

  11. This was a very generic comic that did nothing new. Millar phoned this in.

  12. Why is this the best thing Millar’s done in years? Seriously, this was great. And unlike everything else he’s done since Ultimate X-Men, it was on time.

  13. Wow, another book for a comic lover like me. Even I’m not that young anymore I still love reading  books like this. Fiction writings and art comingle and everything about comics gives me a great relief from my stressful life. I can forget for a wjile all my obligations, responisilities, personal loan, work stress. This is scaping the real world. I just love it.

  14. I really enjoyed this issue. It was good fun seeing the lad get to grips with having super powers and I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

  15. Really liked the slow pace of this. Great scenes between two friends just having fun, trying to come to grips with what is happening. Plus good set up for some real super hero stuff to happened next issue. Really interested to see how this wraps up in the next two issues.

  16. The part where it was mentioned that his favorite thing about being Superior was that eh could wiggle his toes was just great. As someone who has known a few people with MS over the years this really hit home for me
