SUPERGOD #4 (OF 5)

From the creator of Black Summer and No Hero comes the craziest, nastiest, most soulless and criminal superhero comic of the year! SUPERGOD issue 4: The world is at war: or, more to the point, its chosen and unleashed superhuman messiah figures are. Are any of them still human enough to realize they’re going to bring about the end of life on earth — and do any of them care? This is what a superhuman arms race would look like. This is what asking to be saved by men who can fly would look like. Take every superhero comic ever published, shove them into a nuclear-powered blender, soak it in bad vodka and set the whole thing alight — and SUPERGOD will crawl out and eat your brain! This five issue color series is drawn by Garrie Gastonny with colors by Digikore.

  1. FINALLY! This is yet another in a long line of great Warren Ellis stories and the art by Gastonny keeps pace with the writing. That guy’s good. I just wish I didn’t have to wait so many months for this on; it was originally solicited back in December to arrive in February, as I recall!

  2. Amen. Finally!

  3. Ellis’ stuff always has a long wait but its normally worth it!

  4. Yes…worth the wait. Just like Haley’s Comet.  Only not quite as long of a wait-for the Comet.

….read the first 3…what was this book about, again? Who’s Warren Ellis?

  5. Yeah I will be reading this later tonight so I can reread the first three, but it really is brilliant.

  6. I love this book.

  7. Great issue, really enjoyed it, shame the next issue is the last!

  8. I haven’t read this yet this week, but it’s probably insane like the rest of them. INSANE!!!

and if you haven’t read No Hero or Black Summer, you should for the really fucked up shit in those books.
