These Stormwatch stories are what got me into the Wildstorm Universe, believe it or not. It begins simply enough as military-style operations to rescue people and gather resources on a ravaged world, full of messed up super-powered beings and monsters. It slowly builds into a more suspensful story as Jackson King, the commander of Stormwatch, becomes increasingly obsessed with his mission to save what’s left of the world. Highly recommended.
