  1. Do we know who this Hobgoblin is or is he back to being a mystery like he should be?

  2. @Minion  his identity was revealed in Amazing Spiderman a few issues back.

  3. @Minion  yeah it’s old news. it happened with in the first few issue of Amazing Spiderman: Big Time.

Does anyone know what issue the issue # they plan to end it? It still sucks they are canceled this book.

  4. Issue 8 is the last one.  Not surprised at all.  Making her sad and moopy from the get go can put a lot of readers off and the changing art styles doesn’t help either.

  5. The sheer joy of the first issue was sapped out of this book with issue 2 and it became basically… any generic modern super-hero book.

  6. Really good issue, a lot of plot threads moving nicely, another good guest star, great fight.  It’s really disappointing that this is being canceled.

And those of you saying having a teenager being moopy ruined it, that seemed to just make it more realistic to me.

I do wish she had some powers though, I didn’t understand how having one piece of her carapace ripped off removed all her powers.

  7. Art was a lot better than it had been, got back to issue one goodness.  I don’t think being moopy ruined it, I just think it would have turned a lot of new readers off, especially considering how fun the first issue was.

I agree that she needs some sort of power.  It’s weird that she can remain unscathed against hobgoblin but Spider-man struggled in ASM a few weeks ago.

The sequence in the middle bothered me though.  Her ‘witty’ banter was pretty average, and it was made worse by Hobgoblin having to comment on how witty and clever she was.

  8. yay Henry art is back.Issues 4 and 5 i did not like the art.Sad to see this titles go,Issue 1 started this series off real good.I agree that she could use some powers like what she had in Ms. Marvel. That’s what made me pick up this book.I really enjoyed her apperances in Ms.Marvel.After issue 8 is the final issue, any chance Spider-Girl will still be around the Marvel Universe? She is too good of a character to get rid off.

  9. Even though I haven’t been head over heels about the most recent two issues, I like this series. I like the characters and the world they’ve set up for this title. I even like the gimmicky stupid Twitter feed, because it’s a consistent part of this series’ personality. And even when the stories don’t really grab me, the characters remain engaging. I simply can’t believe they’ve set up such a strong book just to cancel it. I noticed Spider-Girl’s face popping up in some Avengers Academy solicits. Fortunately I love that book too, so if she ends up there it’ll be a fine consolation prize, I guess.
