SPARROW AND CROWE: THE DEMONIAC OF LOS ANGELES #1

Sparrow and Crowe: The Demoniac of Los Angeles combines old-school horror with modern cinematic storytelling, as Dr. Crowe, a washed-up exorcist haunted by his own demons, and Sparrow, his sardonic Goth-girl partner, face off against Crowe’s biggest failure and greatest enemy when a powerful demon possesses the daughter of a Los Angeles crimelord. It’s a catch-22 for the duo, as they’re stuck between both hell and the mob, with the girl’s life hanging in the balance.

  1. I’ve read the preview and you want to pick this up. I;m also getting the Kickstarter copy and from my LCS and I never double dip.

    • Wow, thanks so much for all the support, Pompster! We’re getting our Kickstarter copies at SDCC, and we’ll mail out those rewards right after! 🙂

  2. Very stoked that I’m going to walk into my store on Wednesday and see a few copies of this on the shelf!

    • You and me both, man. 😀 The way the release worked out, I have NOT even seen a comp copy yet. So Wednesday will be MY first time holding the book in my hands! 🙂

  3. Fantastic. Very excited for this! Congrats David, Jeremy and Jared!

  4. Coincidentally only heard about this today on the Fuzzy Typewriter podcast. Sounds intriguing!

Unfortunately I’m doubtful whether my local shop here in the UK will have any of this as I obviously didn’t pre-order but I’ll be scouring the “new comics” shelves first thing tomorrow morning 🙂

Sometimes being in the UK has it’s benefits though, my comic book store may be small but it opens 5 hours earlier 😉

    • Thank you Fuzzy Typewriter! 😉

I hope your shop carries it — I’m really not sure what our international orders were like. If you don’t find it, let me know — @daccampo on Twitter or david (at) habitformingfilms.com via email — and I’ll see if we can figure something out.

It will also be available on Comixology in August!

  5. Very excited to pick this up, congrats Dave! Is this available digitally day and date or in the near future? Hope you have great success with it and will happily share my thoughts after reading (it is the Internet, which means my opinions are super-important, right?)

    • Thanks, Max — Near future! Like, August, to be exact. 🙂 We decided with Hermes Press that, since we’re bimonthly, we would offer the print copy one month, and the digital (via Comixology) the following month.

I know a lot of the iFanbase loves digital, and I wish it were a same-date release, but this way it’s only ONE month from now that the digital version will hit! 🙂

  6. when isuue two coming out? this way i can look out for it in previews

    • Issue #2 is in the current PREVIEWS — it ships in September! It’s listed under HERMES PRESS, so it’s kinda buried in the middle of the book. 😉 If you find HEAVY METAL and HUMANOIDS, we’re riiiiight around there. 😉

  7. Cover is reminiscent of Mike Carey’s Unwritten a bit.

I’m going to see if this is available at my shop tomorrow and support the iFanboy peeps.

  8. Looks like I’m going to have get this when it hits comixology. I can’t find a copy in my usual haunts.

  9. Mine’s on its way from DCBS right now!
