I started this series a LONG time since issue 1 based on what a close friend of mine had to say. i must say this might be my last issue. im not sure yet.
but its steve niles… and the artwork is awesome. I love the way Scott Hampton makes Simon hard to see a little bit out of focus which makes the character. ride it out at least for simons awesome shirt.
I’ve decided to drop it. I bought all nine issues, and as much as I like Steve Niles, I can’t really say I care much about the character or the evil soap that’s plaguing Gotham…and that may be because it’s a monthly. Or, it may be because it wasn’t a Vertigo title like it was supposed to be.
I’m thinking the trade paperback route would be the way to go if you’re curious. I think it would probably read better.
Hmm, I just looked at the cover, and the splash says "the confrontation you’ve spent $30 on" or something.
Okay, I"ll buy this one, but it’s make or break for this series. Rant much? Complete 180 much?
