SEX #1

FIRST ISSUE – COLLECTOR’S ITEM!

Finally, a good reason for you come in the comicbook store — to buy SEX!

Simon Cooke has retired from his own “alternative lifestyle” and returned to the city he’d previously sworn to protect. Now he’s just another average citizen — or is he?

The term “adult” has never been so appropriate as it is when it applies to SEX.

  1. Really looking forward to this, lots of gratuitous sex hopefully of the same nature like Butcher Baker!

    • I was already getting this but I didn’t even realise it was Joe Casey doing it. Uber excited now, Butcher Baker is one of my favourite series ever.

  2. Gonna wait to see what people have to say about this one before I pick it up.

  3. I hope this is better than Black Kiss 2. Lets see how long we go before it gets banned.

  4. Well that say sex sells

  5. Just think… all of the legit comic book readers have to pay for Sex, while the pirates get it for free.

  6. There’s no information about this book – who are the creators and what’s the concept? Other than “sex” of course.

  7. with a title like this can you really go wrong

  8. I thought the back matter was far more interesting than the actual story on display in this issue. The craft on display (art, lettering, coloring, etc.) was fantastic. Too bad the story wasn’t as good as the rest of the book, in my opinion anyways.

    • Agreed. The art was great, but the story was bland as hell. The premise of “Superheros have sexual problems/fetishes” has already been done to death.

The sex scene was relatively well done, but I’ve read better erotic/pornographic comics than this and better deconstructions of superhero sexuality.

If hype, back matter, and interviews on CBR are what you need to make your book interesting, you’ve failed as a storyteller.

I probably liked this a little bit more than you did, but you make some very good points.

  9. I really loved this, I didn’t know how I felt about it based on the solicits but this was my POTW for sure.

  10. My girlfriend saw the title and gave me the stink eye. Never have I gotten in girlfriend trouble because of a comic. Joe Casey this book better be good, otherwise you owe me a new girlfriend.

  11. Anyone having problems trying to download this for the iPad? I got my usual email from comixology showing it is available, but when I launch the app the comic is not shown to be available.

  12. A great looking book, mostly living up to it’s promise, will be interesting to see what develops in the coming issues.
