    I had a little shiver run up my spine as I put this on the shelf today.

    It’s the last book in a long and venerable run of Marvel trades for me.

    The shelf is full. I can fit one more trade if I really try, but I think I’ve got a good selection of recent Marvel for now.

    Another era in my comic book buying habits comes to an end.

    That was expensive, but really worth it.

    Brubaker Captain America, Hickman Fantastic Four, Bendis and Brubaker Daredeil, Bendis Mighty Avengers, Bendis New Avengers, all the Dark Avengers, Loeb “color” books, Spider-Man since Big Time, Fraction Iron Man, Guardian of the Galaxy and so much more.

    Yeah, the last volume of Secret Warriors was a line in the sand I drew long ago.

    What a damn fine comic book magazine.

    Thank you Mister Bendis, and especially thank you, Mister Hickman. This has been a great era to read and collect Marvel in trades.

    A Wednesday among Wednesdays. And another shelf, another entire bookshelf, another room, crammed full of comics.

    Maybe I’ll buy an iPad.
