  1. Avengers?  Secret Invasion?

Dammit, I have to buy it.

  2. Should be good.

  3. i loved the runaways young avengers civil war book so i hope these are good as well

  4. I have never read the runaways but SI and YA means I’ll give it a shot.

  5. I felt let down by the last YA/Runaways crossover but I am hopeful about this one.

  6. The Civil War Young Avengers/Runaways mini was an abomination – I’m avoiding this like the plague.

  7. @conor–That one was written by Zeb Wells, wasn’t it? Atleast this one has Chris Yost on it.  Maybe he has a better handle on the kids than Zeb did.

  8. Awesome book. Make sure you read Runaways #30 first to avoid a very small spoiler. this is 1000 times betetr then the civil war one. Definitely worth your time and effort. I am not sure how you can follow it though if you don’t know the characters.

  9. Loved this comic. Very good action. Characters look like an anime which I’ve no problem with. Didn’t read the Civil War crossover but this looks like it will be fun.

  10. @conor I’d consider picking it up if I were you.  Different writer and artist than the Civil War story, and they seem to have a good handle on the team.  I was skeptical and was happily surprised by the quality of the issue.

  11. this was ok, the art wasn’t my bag but I can see what some people would dig about it.  No huge plot was given but other than to explain why the Skrulls gang jumped Teddy in SI 3.  I’ll stick around based on my love for Yost and the YA.

  12. Story = fine.

    Cover art = great.

Inside art = wtf is up with the anime crap?  I couldn’t tell the boys from the girls!  God I hate that style creeping into this book.  The Young Avengers didn’t even look like themselves.  Totally, totally disappointing.

  13. Agreed! If I wanted anime art work, I would pick up a manga book. Perhaps this was done in an attempt to rope in younger readers… God forbid.
