  1. YES!!!

  2. Is this a good jumping on point or should I just start at issue one?

  3. @Avistann  From what I can tell this is a one-shot that doesn’t focus on the main story, but on characters we’ve never met before, so you can probably read it and enjoy it on that. BUT I would strongly recommend reading the trades from Issue 1 – This series is perfection on paper.

  4. @Avistann, I agree with Avistann, I am catching up in trades and I jumped on at the begining of athe storylines, but the trades are a page turner. Get your money ready you’ll end up wanting to immediately get all the trades to catch up asap.

  5. Hmm maybe I will hold off on this issue and just wait until I have time to sit down and read all of Scalped. I love Jason Aaron’s work and I heard many good things about this so I will just get the trades once I am caught up in the other million trades I have. Thanks for the help!

  6. @Avistann  Think of it this way. The series is great, but lives by the number of issues sold. If you can start in issues, definitely jump on board, I would hate to deter another reader from supporting the series. Once you read the first trade you will get the tone of the book. I started with the 1st trade and finished it over a  weekend.
I literaly started collecting the issues, because I wanted to support what I thought was a great book. I use to be a Scapled Trade reader.

  7. Argh! I just switched to a new shop (my shop of 6 years sadly had to close it’s doors) and they don’t order this book! The owner said everyone who used to get it, dropped it. Seriously? Apparently my new shop has customers with poor taste!

  8. Bernet forgot Carol’s nasty nip tattoos. I thought it was Gina at first.

  9. @ButchCassidy  I would find a new shop. Seriously. I mean, not everyone has the option, but ugh.

@OnASunday  It would be an acceptable ret con.

  10. @Josh… I would if I could. In the last year or so 3 shops in town went out of business. There are 3 left. 1 only carries Marvel and DC, 1 is forty minutes away and run by a-holes, and there’s the one I just switched to, which does carry indies, but still not everything. They don’t order this, Sweet Tooth, Sixth Gun, or a bunch of other books I pull. At they they were able to reorder everything. Just sad that their customers never even have a chance to flip through some of
    the best books out there.
