  1. LOVE the 1975 flashbacks! Always having that in the backdrop has been one of the most intriguing parts of Scalped’s storyline

  2. Is this a new storyline because I was trying to jump on with a new storyline so I don’t double up in trades.

  3. @ spoons – This is technically part 4 of High Lonesome, but it hasn’t been linear.  #25 set up the new storyline, and then 26 and 27 were single issue character origins for Diesel and Agent Nitz respectively.  According to the solicit, next issue is going to continue the storyline starting in 25.

  4. Get up on it Spoons. I did. Haven’t looked back since. Made of awesome.

  5. If you’re not reading this right now… I feel sorry for you.

  6. Not hating on this brilliant series at all, just curious … why start a story then switch to all these one-shot character flash backs? Unless they tie into the casino heist, why not start that story after these one-shots are done?

  7. who cares?

  8. @Wade – Because Jason Aaron is a cock tease.  People reading this in trades are missing out.

  9. @WadeWilson: Because that’s how Aaron tells his stories.  He starts a new story, pulls back to focus on the characters in the story, and then finishes the story.  He used the same exact format with the Hmong storyline.

  10. Actually, all these character stories have been billed as parts (2,3,4, etc) of the High Lonesome story that started with the casino grifter. Something tells me this all comes back together in the end (at least thematically, if not plot).

  11. I see what you guys are saying about it all coming back around, it’s just that this time the flashbacks don’t seem related to the current story, when other times they have. Maybe it will all tie together in the end though.

  12. Scalped’s one continuous story.  The only reason its broken up into story-arcs is the vertigo trade system

  13. Screw it.  I’m switching to issues with this series.

  14. Did this come out today or get pushed back?  My store said that they didn’t get it.

  15. @joedunn75: My store had it.  I think there was a problem with Vertigo books, my store didn’t receive any copies of Hellblazer.

  16. 10/10 Jock Cover Art Appreesh

  17. I think this is the best title I’m currently reading.  Catcher is such an intriguing character.  What’s going through his mind?

  18. This was fantastic, as always. 5/5.

  19. i did not see that reveal coming… i just thought i figured out who killed Gina and ten pages later i find out how fucking wrong i am.  knocked it outa the muthafuckin park

  20. is there a fancy hardcover for scalped?

  21. @JesseG  Have you heard anything about this? This is one book I would definitely pay for a fancy hardcover of, even after my Christmas splurge on omnibuses.
