  1. definitely looking forward to checking this out.  I wonder how often these will be coming out, quite the big anthology book!

  2. I love the old Savage Sward stuff from Marvel, black and white and grittier than the main comic. $8 is a lot of dough, especially as it will contian at least some reprint material, but I will withold judement until I see what it is like. In general I have always liked comic anthology stuff. They can really push the medium and do some cool things that I would never have bought if just put on the stands alone.

  3. I think I’ll have to call my LCS and see if they can hold this for me, as I wont be able to get there until after the holidays.

The cover treatment on this is something I would never have expected, but I really dig it!

  4. I’m picking this up once we get the boxing day sales

  5. The last story, a 40 page Bran Mac Morn opus, was truly awesome, with Barry Windsor-Smith art. Unfortunately, it is also apparently a reprint. Someone did a nice job of colorizing it and if yo have never seen it before, I strongly recommend grabbing it. The Conan story is solid, but not special. The Black Agnes (whoever that is) tale is kind of ugly. And the weird John Silent story is very good and disturbing. But the selling point is the Bran story, which was new to me.

  6. This was fantastic. I’m really looking forward to some El Borak stories. Hopefully they get a capable artist on the case.

    The cover treatment is extraordinary.
