  1. Almost as excited to read this as I am to read Batman #2.

  2. I feel like I have to justify my pull hear given the controversy surrounding last issue.

I really like this artists work, not just his woman either, I thought Jason and Roys escape was a lot of fun. I like the Redhood, as an idea, Batmans failure out on his own – teaming up with other failed sidekicks. As a concept it works and I’m interested to see the direction this book goes.

Lobdell seems to be suggesting there’s more to the Starfire situation then has been shown, and this looks like a switch off your brain, dumb summer blockbuster kinda comic, so what the hell I’ll give it three issues to impress me.

Im not sure my thoughts where linear there.

    • Thats how I feel too. I generally liked the over the top nature of the first issue, but I dunno if i’m gonna stick around if thats the way Starfire is going to be.

  3. Can’t look away from red hood’s …
    Excitement.

    *shudders*

  4. Look, I’m not really pleased with Starfire’s first impression, but I can tell that it was more of an opening to the character! Re-read the comics and think about it…

  5. Make or break issue. First one was everything I didn’t want it to be.

  6. Jason Todd = Ferris Bueller

    Roy Harper = Cameron Frye

    Starfire = Sloane Peterson

  7. Issue #1 was fun, and funny. I am not ashamed to pull this and to say that it will likely be the first book I read from my stack. I hope we get some explanation into the Jason’s past. That was the only hard part of issue 1, I felt like they expected me to have a lot of foreknowledge.

  8. I like the red hood. I like arsenal (stretch? eh.) And i never knew anything about starfire BEFORE (i was pretty much exclusively marvel before the reboot) so her dimwittedness doesn’t bother me much for the time being, the will eventually have to flush out the character to keep my interest though.

Also, i’m not ashamed to say that starfire looked hot in the last book and that it is far from a negligible factor for me continuing to buy it. I’m not a womanizer or anything like that! Even my wife was like, “DAMN! I’d buy this book just for her!”

The book seems like its gonna be a fun ride.

  9. it was just ok. Starfire aside, like so many of the new 52, i just can’t find $2.99 worth of reasons to spend time and money on issue #2.

  10. Nope, not gonna happen.

  11. Based on the cliffhanger of the last issue Red Hood might be in this issue mostly alone. If that’s how it goes then I won’t like it. Hopefully this book won’t make the mistake of being a team book that’s not a team book.

  12. I find it funny that I get blasted on other sites for liking this title by other female readers, who see it being sexist and exploitative and yet find no problem with reading very graphic slash fan-fiction.

  13. I like this the way I like Sucker Punch. My educated mind rolls it’s eyes, but my id loves seeing fun action sequences, sexy girls and cazy plots.

  14. I liked this better than the first issue, still not finding too much to love. It’s just a big bowl of okay.

  15. Meh. 3/5 Dropped.

  16. 5 star book loved, even a little more than batman. It’s crazy good fun

  17. Can’t put this as high as Batman or Wonder Woman, but I’ll admit it was a lot of fun, and continued a mostly great story. I didnt find Starfire to be quite as dimwitted in this issue, so I’ve hope that we’re gearing up for Starfire just being troubled, and that her character will turn around from the first ish low.

  18. Who is more prepared: Bruce Wayne or Jason Todd? My moneys on Jason.

  19. much better than the first issue. And I dont know if all that .. um.. temple of all… was covered in the past or not, but it was interesting back story to me. And kind of brings Jason back from being a villian to an anti hero.

  20. loved it!!! Again, original. Bucky (from Marvel) and Red Hood are protagonists but also have both been antagonists. I believe they are the best characters to write and I’ve enjoyed this book thus far. It is by far top 5 in my top reads.
