  1. this is more of a pre pull because it is unlikely my shop will get this.

    Thank God for amazon

  2. i’ve been DYING for this one to come out. so glad it’s finally here.

  3. you know, i was kind of luke warm on the first two TP….

does it get better? i’m still undecided

  4. @ TehDave

You and me both brother. I got the first two volumes last winter/spring. I tore through them and made my roomate and his girlfriend read both.

We’ve all been waiting for this to hit the stores. I hope I can cough up the 20$ for it this week.

  5. @ edward – i don’t really think so – if you didn’t like the first two, i can’t really see you feeling too different on this one. i think it’s all in the same style and feel as before.

  6. This comes with the out of print script book! Awesome!

  7. I read this in singles and really enjoyed it, it’s one of my favourite series ever. That said, the final arc is confusing as hell if you haven’t read the first novel, A Gentlemen’s Game. It too is great (and a brilliant look into how terrorism actually works) but makes the comic look utterly dumbed down in comparison, it’s incredibly complex and filled with intelligence and jihadi jargon.

Anyway, diversion aside, the final arc picks up after the novel – after something really major happens to Tara and radically changes how you read said arc. While I think Rucka is to be applauded for expanding his universe, I think it would really hurt it reading it in a big trade like this. And the kicker? To be continued in novel no. 2…(sitting on my shelf unread)

  8. yeah, the novel break makes for some long, confusing moments. it eventually gets worked out – after reading for several pages, you get the necessary information as to what happened.

you can’t ignore this as a negative on the book. but i don’t think it ruins anything by any means – still very enjoyable overall.
