I’m down with this just for the cover alone. Homage to Action Comics #1. Dope.
Also, it is Landridge. Which makes it a double whammy.
Wow, this was a real treat. I remember liking the Popeye cartoons as a kid; so I picked this up for nostalgia’s sake, and that sweet-ass cover. The artwork was fantastic, so classic and polished. I started to just flip through it before I read my other books, and I ended up reading the whole thing! The story was fun, and featured a good array of characters. It’s a great feeling when a book scratches an itch that you didn’t know you had. I can’t wait for #2!
