This is a rare triple pull for me. I had two on order (one to open/one to keep in case they are bagged due to the extra game content) but can’t wait and will be picking one up at the LCS as well. Next to Saga, my most anticipated comic in a while!
I’ve been enjoying Skullkickers a lot, so I’ll give Jim Zubkavich a chance to entertain me with some straight (as opposed to humor-focused) swords and sorcery.
I really enjoyed this. My only gripe is I wish there was a different artist on this, not that it is bad just that there are other artists that I think could have done it better. Matteo Scalera (who even did a variant cover) now that he isn’t on Valen and killed it with that fantasy-ish book would be my top pick. Writing was very good, maybe a bit wordy at times. The bonus game content was exceptional and the package as a whole is really a great thing.
