NORTHLANDERS #34

In the middle of all the blood, all the burned churches, all the scorched land, all the fouled water, all the dead bodies, all the stinking battlefields, all the smoky skies, all the hate and pain and anger and prejudice, Erik and Ingrid encounter a moment of such pure and shining happiness that it overwhelms them entirely. Is it too late for redemption? “Metal” concludes here!

  1. Finale.  It’s been a great storyline.  I’d cross my fingers, but Erik doesn’t play nice around crosses.

  2. The next 2-part arc looks great! Haven’t read any Northlanders sotry yet but I’ll probably pick up those 2 issues and check out the trades soon.

  3. Wow…I know Wednesday isn’t over yet and there’s still the rest of the week, but 19% PotW for a Vertigo book is impressive. Need to catch up on the book.

  4. This was the strangest Northlanders arc. A guy reahed through a wall which went all rainbow-y and pulled Erik through it from a snowy field. Very strange given the reality Wood’s established for the past 30 issues.

  5. @mikeandzod21 yea that came out of nowhere, liked the arc till that, next arc is up so im psyhed

  6. This was ok. I think I’m going to take a break from Northlanders for a while even though I love getting my dose of historical fiction every month.

  7. This was the first arc I didn’t really enjoy. Felt like there was very little motivation for what was happeneing and the end came out of nowhere.

  8. Yeah, I wasn’t overly thrilled with this arc either.  I’m hoping this book picks up soon because I’m starting to get pretty bored with this series.
