I think New Mutants is giving X-Factor a run for it’s money for the “Most Under-appreciated and Over-looked X-Book” award.
No truer words have been said! Both are quietly churning out some excellent stories and this is ramping up to be a doozy, I think!
I’m really sad that this book is ending at issue 50.
It’s a bummer, but the first volume of New Mutants only made it to 100 issues in a much stronger comics market (with a lot less competition from other X-books), so I think 50 issues in the current climate is a really solid run.
They did mention that the team would be showing again during the AvX panel. Hopefully they will be a part of the revamp? This title exposed me to the work of DnA and I am grateful for that.
We’ll see where everyone’s at when this arc wraps up (alive/dead/etc), as well as what the post-AVX status quo is all about, but I wouldn’t mind seeing most of the team show up at the Jean Grey school or with X-Factor.
