I haven’t had any huge issues with AvX, but for my money, this crossover wins hands down. I am excited to see how they wrap it up but also sad it’s the end already..which, I suppose, is preferable to thinking ‘When will this be done?’
Yeah, this has definitely been an example of how double shipping books can be a great benefit to readers. I was on the fence about this before it started, but I’ve really loved getting a new installment every week. This story has been a ton of fun. I’ve been enjoying New Mutants since Regenesis. I’m not into Asgard stuff in general, but I tried JIM back with the Christmas issue and enjoyed it, however the next arc lost me — this crossover has me interested in trying again. Success!
That’s funny because it worked the exact opposite for me. I tried The New Mutants at the start of the Ani-mator story line just to get a feel for the series before the crossover. I suspect Bird Brain didn’t help but I had no desire to read anymore…then I picked up the Regenesis issue and really changed my mind. It’s now one of my favorite series. So dip your toe back into the JiM pool…that water’s fine! 🙂
