  1. Anybody know where the poor old New Mutants fit into the new scheme of things?

  2. Call him fan favorite, then list two things fans didn’t read or buy. Does fan favorite mean not yet known, but did some good work somewhere, we promise? That cover reminds me a bit of a Jamie Hewlett Tank Girl sort of thing.

And I have no idea what DnA are doing here. The Fear Itself thing was a bit off the rails they had begun to lay down. So either we continue “cleaning up” dangling plot lines, or something altogether new? Can this still be sellling at all well?

  3. I usually love Abnett and Lanning, but this has been godawful, it’s as if they have never picked up a single issue of New Mutants in their entire life and know absolutely nothing about these characters or the ways that these characters interact with eachother, the only character they get even slightly right is Magik, and she’s gonna be exported to Uncanny.

  4. Bleh, I may jump off with this issue….the magic this title had has been long gone…

  5. The double shipping and Fear Itself are killing this book. At least one of those is fixed. I will stay on until Blink shows up, but if it’s not blowing my mind then I will drop.

  6. I’ve been on this book since they went after Nate Grey, but I’m not loving the Lafuente art on it. His Ultimate Spider-Man was great, but it just feels really weird on this. Sunspot looks like a steroid-ridden leopard man or something.

Hopefully I’ll like this art a little more though. I love most of the characters on this team. And it’ll be cool to see Blink back soon as well.

  7. I loved last issue, so excited to see where the “X-babies” are heading next.

  8. I really liked the art on this issue; the other style was OK for the FI setting, but this is better for this type of story. However, I am worried about how Blink will be portrayed… she was so great in Exiles.

  9. I just have one question: Why does Sunspot, Roberto da Costa, A BRAZILIAN, speaks spanish?? I am brazilian and we speak portuguese, for gods sake. It’s SIM, not SI. It’s Senhor! Man, they have a lot of brazilian pencilers on the market. How come they don’t know a simple thing like that?
