IN A CITY INFESTED WITH CRIME, LUKE CAGE…WALKS AWAY?!
When Luke Cage went to Philadelphia to avenge an old friend’s brutal beating, he uncovered a drug ring that stretched from North Philly’s mean streets to the powerful boardrooms of corporate America — and with every “lieutenant” he took off the streets, another thug took his place. With the deck so stacked against him — and a family in New York that needs him — will the original Hero for Hire leave a job unfinished? Or will the job finish him?! John Arcudi (Wednesdays Comics) and Eric Canete (AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) bring you the sense-shattering conclusion — an ending you’ll never see coming!

This mini has been better than I expected…plus look at that Eric Canete art, it’s so good!
Every time I see the art for this book i’m disgusted.
Canete was the real star here. The story – while having a conclusion – just sort of ends and left me wondering… why wasn’t this streamlined into two really strong issues instead of two good issues and a flaccid coda. 3/5
This is the way I like Luke Cage…if you’re going to make him "street level" then have him fighting gangsters and drug-trafficers in the street. Good stuff. I agree with PraxJarvin about feeling like this story could have been streamlined a bit, but that’s honestly how I feel about most comics in the modern era.
