  1. Holy crap, full sized and $1? Thank you so much Image!

  2. This book already is the best value on the shelves each month and now only a buck. If that doesn’t attract new readers I’m not sure what will?!

  3. Loving the series, and like the “season” approach as well. Do we know how many seasons to expect? Is this a half-way mark?

  4. Can i ask readers how accesible they think this is going to be? 1 dollar, it would be a shame not to try it. Image continue to show how its done!

    • I’ll tell you tomorrow once I’ve read it.

    • I’ll be honest– it’s not really a new reader jump-on point, so much as a jump from trades to singles point. With this book, 01 is really the only place to start.

That said, you have a couple options right now that are just as cheap if not cheaper.

Right now, digitally, on Comixology, we have a 99 cent sale on the entire run of the book to date, all of S1, 25 issues, all a buck each. 01 is actually FREE there, too, so it costs nothing to sample it.

Or, if you’re a print reader, next week we have a $1 Image First edition of 01 out, and that’s an easy way to get started. From there, we only have 4 trades before this issue– the first one is only 9.99 for 6 oversized issues.

So, yeah, plenty of options if you’re willing to give us a shot.

    • Wow thanks for the reply and the honesty dude! I picked up the issue anyway and I’ll probably try the #1 reprint, I’ve heard great things.

It’s cool to see Image really giving the incentive for readers to get on board with running titles. 10 dollar trades are a steal.

    • I guess I don’t really have to tell you, seeing that the author of the book already told you (KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, NICK! LOVE THE BOOK!). But yeah. It’s like jumping in mid-way on LOST. Will not work. Most definitely worth picking up the trades! Trust me. It’s great and reads awesome all in a row.

  5. And Nick if you’re still reading this. Any word on a 2nd deluxe hardcover?
