‘THE DARK CHAMBER,’ Part One

It is the dawn of World War I, and Sherlock Holmes has been dead for 20 years.

Holmes’ enemy – Professor James Moriarty – is a lost man. MI5 blackmails Moriarty into finding Holmes’ long-lost brother, Mycroft, but what at first appears to be a routine case leads to a web of intrigue that involves a psychic box and its creator, a woman from Moriarty’s past, and a new villain that threatens to be greater than Moriarty ever was!

    This sounds cool.  I hope the creators make it work.  What is “science-fiction noir?”  I’ll have to get this to find out I suppose.

    I would be interested in this if it didn’t have any sci-fi elements. Oh well.

    Hm. I didn’t have much interest until I saw the preview. Now, I dunno, I’m pretty tempted. sci-fi isn’t  a turn off if it’s done properly – it’s comics afterall. Most titles play like a game of madlibs anyway.

    Love the concept, and the art, story and dialogue were solid. Hope Image can keep this one going for a while!

    This one took almost 25 minutes to read. Art is eh, and I wish this was a novella or something instead.

    I picked this up on a whim and somehow it’s pick of the week for me. Just really enjoyed it. Actually really liked the art, but the writing was top notch. Takes a while to get through, but doesn’t feel like a slog at all.

    Picked this up by reccomendation of my lcs, surprized me how much I liked it.  think I’ll continue reading, This is just a mini-series right?

    Moriarity as a twisted mirror version of Holmes. Really well done. In particular I felt the writer did a fantastic job of showing him collect and analze clues. I was surprised how much I liked it. I will definitely get issue #2.
