MISTER TERRIFIC #4

An alien S.O.S. draws Mister Terrific into the ninth dimension. But what begins as scientific exploration quickly turns deadly when he is taken prisoner by the villainous Kryl. 2. I kind of wish a Better writer was on this book, because I love Mr. Terrific, but this book does not do him justice

  3. I will admit that the first arc seemed disjointed and disconnected. There were okay frames and then there were frames where there was nothing but fail. I didn’t bring any preconceptions to this series, was just kind of hoping for a pleasant surprise good read. E. Wallace did say he had plans to add a “cosmic dimension” to Mr. Terrific. I believe that’s what’s starting in this issue. I don’t mind it at all – in fact, it seems Wallace is doing the cosmic dimension better than the ye olde earth dimension – so good, let him stay cosmic! Still, there’s a page in the book where the readers are told that Mr Terrific is a black man. It’s rather heavy-handed dialogue. But overall, this issue is much better than the previous three.
