The Mighty Thor twice in a month!? Hail the All-Mother!
I might give this a try. ’tis a week most light.
(PS: The ad for next issue got me intrigued about this title, too.)
So was Thor dead for the first 10 issues?
No, he was dead for maybe an issue or two.
First arc was Asgard vs. Galactus.
Second arc was a troll lead Loki-level deception for the destruction of Asgardia.
I think I’ll read the first year’s-worth this weekend.
This issue was fine. Kitson’s art was very nice. As a regular reader of this book, I feel that I could have skipped this issue & been fine.
Came here to say this exact thing. I’m kind of tired of .1 issues at this point. I’d rather just jump into a story than be spoon fed a half story.
This was a perfectly crafted single issue that does what the .1 issues are supposed to do: introduce people to the character/book without completely retreading/summarizing everything that came before it.
I thought it was masterful.
Hmm, just the other week I was talking about dropping this title, but seeing as this issue has art by Barry Kitson, I may have to pick it up. Then again, I could wait a couple weeks and it’ll probably be a free download on the Marvel Comics app (assuming they continue the trend of .1 issues being added to the “Free Download” section)…
Another .1 failure.
