  1. The Hulk vs. The Thing! Loved it as a kid, love it as an adult!

  2. I like this book but my hatred for Marvel has grown so strong I may not be able to pick this up anymore.

Love Marvel Mash-Ups on the TV and in the Ult Spidey book!

    • @BCDX97: I was just looking through my weekly pulls, and that’s twice now that you brought up your “hatred for Marvel” while explaing why you didn’t want to buy a book you admittedly like.

You sound conflicted. Maybe a trial separation is in order. Maybe a small break. You could put your affairs in order first, and get this until it ends soon. Or just make a clean break and end it now.

You seem to have another sweetheart anyway. You can always read the library’s copy, if you don;t want to give them your money anymore.

Your love and hatred seems so passionate, and capricious. I wish you the best, however you deal with this “hatred”.

      Cheers.

    • I hate the 3.99. I hate the double shipping. I hate the huge, empty events. I hate Bendis everywhere (and I used to love Bendis).

There are still a few books by Marvel I enjoy, but since I despise the company so much, I was thinking of just avoiding everything they do, rather than almost all of it. But I would still want the Millar books.

I like DC, Dark Horse, Image, IDW, and more. Only Marvel has earned my spite. I’m not expecting a guy pulling 10+ Marvel books this week to understand.

    • I say go for it. Why torture yourself? I’ve made the break before, more or less completely, when I felt much as you do now. Come back in a few years. I’ve gone years without buying a Marvel book. Try it. It’s very freeing. Let go of the hate.

    • I’m not thrilled by $3.99 books from ANY company unless they contain extra content. And I tend to get my $3.99 Marvels at a LCS that gives me a very nice discount, so they cost about $3.10. Nor do I like events, per se.

For a time, DC was getting abut 3/4 of my buying dollar, but Marvel is in the lead, with DC getting less of my money, and love.

      But to each their own.

  3. Looking forward to this, as long as it lasts.

My love for Marvel allows my enjoyment for things as they are, while they exist.
