I don’t know how a character like this can get a monthly series, but I liked what I read in JSA and dug on the preview enough to check this out.
Yeah i agree, plus the creative team is awesome.
I wasn’t impressed with the preview… but I feel obligated to give Giffen and Porter a fair shot.
Surprised so few people are pulling this. I’ll give these creators a shot on just about anything.
I really liked this. Giffen rules.
I liked this a lot also. Magog might seem like a dick, but I feel like he has a lot of depth. I know he can support an ongoing story, let’s see if the sales numbers are high enough to keep it around.
Thought this was a little over-written. Not because it’s too ‘wordy’, I champion the reading side to comic books, but because I felt the narrative moved at too slow a pace to warrant so much text.
That said, this being a first and introductory issue there’s a lot of ‘set-up’ to cover. Maybe issue #2 will have a little more dynamism to it.
Maybe more point of view is clouded having read Sweet Tooth before this. But I can’t help getting the feeling that this is the Yin to Sweet Tooth’s Yang. Both enjoyable, both introductory, one heavy and the other a little too light.
I enjoyed this book, but I find it hard to believe that this book will make it in the long run. Why give Magog an ongoing and not Freedom Fighters??
I have no idea why this charecter is being given a series , I was actually more interested in him before he became Magog , I have a feeling that this is going to be a short lived series .
Tried this but I have no interest. Unless I hear good things about #2, I’m done.
boring.
