  1. This book is awesome. Art, story, it’s all awesome.

  2. #3 was my PotW. really looking forward to this.

  3. It’s a better issue than the last. Great, great mini-series.

  4. the best mignola mini since baltimore.

  5. Another great episode of Lobster Johnson, what an ending! This made me want to go and pull out BPRD: the Black Flame. On a random note, I always read it as “The Brack Frame” like Kim-jong-il from Team America; it makes me laugh, is that weird?

    • oh yeah, anyone else been getting Mignola’s “Year of the Monsters” variants? they have been pretty sweet.

    • @turdsandwich
i haven’t seen these variants. haven’t even heard of them. my shop hasn’t offered them to my knowledge.
i’ll be sure to shoot over to comixology and check them out.
does the “year of the monsters” theme apply to all mignola book covers or just lobster johnson?

    • They just started in January, so far they have been on different titles in the Mignolaverse. Jan. was Lobster Johnson #1(the Mummy), Feb. was BPRD: The Long Death #1(Loch Ness Monster), Mar.-BPRD: Picken County Horror #1,(Baba Yaga) and April-Lobster Johnson #4(Wolfman). As far as I know it will be one title per month for the rest of the year.

  6. if not for saga, it would be between this and avenging spider-man for POTW.
it’s a damn shame that this book gets only 201 pulls. has an ifanstaff member picked this for POTW yet? there’s only one issue left and this book has hardly been mentioned or talked about. same thing with baltimore and bprd. great comics that nobody’s talkin’ about. i-staff and i-base alike.
it’s not ifanboy’s fault, NOT SAYIN’ THAT AT ALL.
i just would like to see more mignola universe articles.
i know hellboy gets a lot of love, but i want more DAMNIT.
