GIFFEN!!
Yes! Sadly that’s our lot. Francis Portela is back on #20, then Jeff Johnson is up for the concluding 2 x issues. One arc, four sets of artists. Smooth.
DC seem to be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, all too regularly, of late. In this instance, an exciting & perhaps final opportunity to revive a title thrown off course by the new52 re-launch has been lost.
So, no Giffen after all, as suggested elsewhere. DC have a knack of not updating solicitation info until the last minute.
The cover is nicely designed, but I don’t care for the illustration style. Unfortunately, the Legion got off to a bad start with the first issue. They had a chance to bring readers back with this arc, but they’re already blowing it. What do do? Two words:
George Perez!
I agree, George Perez would be perfect. I believe he’s currently available having been moved off Worlds’ Finest, but I’ve also heard Jeff Johnson is the new ‘permanent’ artist.
Perez is off Worlds’ Finest? Son-of-a–!
