Whats the opinion on this series? I was going to check it out, but it’s not out digitally.
Wondering if the trade is gonna be worth getting.
@zeppo – I’ve enjoyed Legion of Monsters and was kinda surprised that so few people were pulling this series. I’m sure the $3.99 price tag on a low-profile mini didn’t help.
The story is fun and the art by Juan Doe is stylish and energetic. Quintana has done an excellent job on colors. Personally, I would have loved to have seen this become an on-going series with Hopeless and Doe.
This series has been such a great surprise. Every time I put down an issue of this mini, I feel both satisfied and happy that there are still books that are just fun. Dennis Hopeless has a entertaining mystery here and I can’t wait to see how this ends. Juan Doe also draws a book that looks unlike anything else on the stands; dynamic, cartoony and expressive Marvel monster work to be found here folks. Get the trade as soon as it comes out.
