  1. Art now by Brett Booth.

    Interesting.

  2. Does anyone else feel like this is difficult to get in to?

  3. Brett Booth is doing this and Nightwing? Wow! He’s really good but isn’t that a little towards work overload?

  4. Booth came in for the save here to keep this on schedule. He did this issue in about 2 weeks if this interview is supposed to be believed

I am not a fan of the guy, but I think he deserves some applause if this even barely looks like comic book.

  5. So what’s happening to Catwoman then?

  6. Dropping this after trinity war.

  7. I read this. Um. Okay.

  8. Does anyone know how long the Martian Manhunter backups are planned to go for. I want to read them and am hoping they plan to do enough to package them similar to the upcoming hardcover of the Shazam backups from justice league. Although two full issues of the Justice League were devoted to expanding the backup which probably added enough material to make the hardcover worth while, something that seems less likely for the Martian Manhunter backups.

So does this mean Catwoman is canceled?

    • I heard from someone on FB that her series is scheduled to continue on to July, so not yet maybe. Probably.

      **Spolier Warning**

So is Catwoman dead dead, or it really looks that way? I don’t care about spoilers, I just want to know because that same person I mentioned is crying “Women in Refirgerators” and I’d like something to bring to the disucssion.

    • **Spoiler Warning**

I’m thinking it only looks that way. What the doctor had to her head looked more like an medical injection gun like what they used when I was in the military…. carries a dose of something on a thin quick burst of air. That being said, that was a big pool of blood, but I’m leaning toward something along the lines of nanites?

    • She has an ongoing series that’s doing fairly well, and she’s back in action on the cover of JLA #7:) It’s comic book last page drama, designed to create internet buzz.

    • Catwoman’s series is selling about 28k a month, nowhere near cancel numbers, and is already solicited to september. With plenty of foreshadoing for arcs after that (“the joker’s daughter”).

    • Avatar photo Jeff Reid (@JeffRReid) says:

If DC had really killed her off in this issue, they’d have told us about it in a nationally syndicated newspaper earlier this week.

    • Nah, her book isn’t going anywhere. I don’t think that was the real Catwoman. The most obvious giveaway being she was zipped all the way up, am I right?

So this team is associated with Amanda Waller. And we already know, from Suicide Squad, that she has the means to bring someone back to life. So even if that was Catwoman, and even if she was shot in the head with a bullet, she’ll be back.

    • All right, Nocenti’s book is gonna be cancelled!

I kept thinking Stargirl was gonna be dead.

Catwoman will be fine, it will just be a fake death or a clone or something. I was a little bummed at the end because I thought somebody was gonna die for real – no way Catwoman is a goner.

  10. DC have a lifetime supply of fridges. At least they are equal opportunity fridgers.

  11. My pick of the week

  12. There may have been a time and a place for Women In Refrigerators to catch on as a meme, but enough already with the faux outrage.

Catwoman’s a thief, who was infiltrating the base of s secret society of super-villians. Is it completely out of the blue for her to end up in trouble? No.

I, for one, will wait and enjoy the story that Johns and other are telling before I get all twisted around and end up hoisted on my own petard.

  13. So Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor broke up and Steve got the Invisible Plane? 😉

  14. Avatar photo consafo80 (@consafo80) says:

Don’t forget that Amanda Waller has that resurrection juice. So the death could be legit.

  15. Really awesome issue. I’m loving this book so far. Can’t wait to see how Catwoman comes back! Great art and story in this book so far. It’s cool to see all of the ‘Forever Evil’ and Trinity War foreshadowing.
