   Im hoping he was still Mucous Membrane when he was younger. But still loving Lemire on this book. Doesn’t sound like John at all from what Milligan writes in Hellblazer but it’s good enough.

   Lemire has really dumbed down the Black Orchid concept. She’s more or less a super-strong Mystique? I think he needs to reread those old stories of hers in Adventure Comics and Phantom Stranger. Otherwise, I’ve been enjoying JLD.

   I jumped on this book with Lemire since I am a big fan of his. It still hasn’t grabbed me and I actually like the art more than the writing, which is the exact opposite of what I expected.

   Garbett really turned me off with his pencils. I never want him penciling a book i read ever again! This would have been so much better penciled by JP Leon or Fegredo. Really disappointed.

     I actually think it’s one of the better zero covers. At least he’s setting the stupid hole on fire instead of jumping out of it.

   I agree that the pencils were weaker than usual, but thought that the story was strong. Credit to Lemire for not only writing a stand alone origin story, but one, which fits into his larger Books of Magic arc. Just one question, as I never read much Constantine before this series, but is Necro a new character?
