JSA ALL STARS #9
The gods seem to be inside the minds of the All-Stars, which is only their first step toward reemerging on Earth. The takeover splits the team up as they try preventing the return of these ancient mysteries on two fronts – in the jungles of Parador and on the mean streets of Los Angeles!
Also, in the co-feature: Hourman is forced to do something he swore he’d never do again – all in an effort to save the villains Tigress and the Icicle!

I got to say, I’m enjoying Sturges team a lot more then Willingham’s
Kind of hoping this book goes away after the new team takes over the main book. I love the JSA but it seems really watered down and off-track here.
I’ve been buying this more for the ‘Second Feature’, but the primary story is getting better all the time, I think Sturges is getting a better feel for the characters. This issue does feel a bit funny, after having divided the JSA into ‘All-Stars’ and ‘Classic’, the All-Stars have split into two teams. Soon they will all split up to search the haunted house for their missing friend. 🙂
For me All Stars has been consistantly the better of the two books since its debut. Maybe because with all the younger characters this the book that’s really about legacy.
